I enjoyed reading these quotes, they eloquently express thoughts and feelings I had/have about the software industry, ranging from lines of code to the industry as a whole. I was inspired by the list at dzone.com.

Estimation/Planning

The first 90% of the code accounts for the first 90% of the development time. The remaining 10% of the code accounts for the other 90% of the development time.

This one seems particularly true, but it could just be conformational and/or selection bias.

If we want to be serious about quality, it is time to get tired of finding bugs and start preventing their happening in the first place.

It is interesting how, regardless of advances in technology and science, most problems come back to “It’s always a people problem”.

The key to building a great product is building a great team first. To me, great teams aren’t bound by roles, but they’re driven by moving forward.

Context is always essential, I wholeheartedly agree with needed a good team, however a bad process can keep a good person (or team) down.

I think the below quote applies to anyone, not just test-devs, e.g. dev-ops, management-dev, management-test, client-tech team.
