Geotagging Photos in Linux with the RoyalTek RGM3800

Its full name is the “RoyalTek SiRF Star III GPS Receiver + Data-Logger RGM3800”, but that was too long for the title.

The steps you will need to follow:

  1. Ensure the PL2303 USB driver is installed (I used the one in the kernel)
  2. Download rgm3800py
  1. Run ;)

I would like to thank Miguel for his blog post on the RoyalTek RGM3800 which helped a lot with me getting this all to work on Gentoo Linux.
